Terms and Conditions
Deposits on portrait commissions are 50% of the total portrait price, and are non-refundable. The balance is due at the time of completion of the portrait, plus a flat shipping charge of $25.00 for US shipments. (For International shipments, please indicate a shipping address and a shipping price will be provided at the booking of the commission). Upon completion of the portrait, the client will receive an email with a scan of the finished portrait, along with the balance due. The client will have ten (10) business days to inform me of any changes/alterations required. The portrait will be shipped within two (2) business days of receipt of the final payment.
If the portrait is paid in full at the commission/booking, and the portrait work has not yet begun, the 50% final payment and shipping charges will be returned, and the 50% deposit will be retained. In the unlikely event that I should cancel your booking/commission, the funds which have been paid will be returned in full within ten (10) business days. Should the portrait be in creation, and the clients cancels the booking/commission, the deposit and artwork will be retained.
In the event that changes are requested when the client receives the portrait, the client is responsible for payment of shipping the portrait back for alterations. If the alterations/changes are still not acceptable, the artwork will be retained and 50% of the total portrait will be returned.
If the portrait is damaged in transit, please contact me within two (2) business days of receipt and provide photos of the portrait and the packing materials. Then, please return the portrait to me and I will provide an estimated date of replacement at no additional charge.
I retain copyright on all artwork I create and reserve the right to use all my artwork on my website and any social media outlets and marketing venues. I do not allow my work to be used by anyone, without my express, written consent. If you prefer not to have the portrait displayed, please notify me at the time of booking/commission. I also reserve the right to use any emails or social media posts to be used as testimonials on my website.
