A bit about me......
I am an artist and passionate animal lover, who has been involved in fundraising for shelters and rescues for over 40 years. My passion for animals started during my first job, cleaning kennels for the local SPCA!
I was the kid with the crayons, the kid who drew anything. Early on, it was pretty apparent that I was going to art school. My calling for art comes from both sides of my family, and I was fortunate that my high school had a wonderful art department with teachers that encouraged those with promise. With my portfolio in hand, I was off to my dream college, Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia.
After training in advertising art at Moore, I moved to a farm in southern New Jersey and promptly began to build my menagerie of dogs, cats, horses, sheep and goats.
I now work from my studio on the eastern shore of Maryland, and my work can be found in collections throughout the United States.
My passion is fundraising for animal charities. For 17 years I produced all the art Pennsylvania SPCA needed. It raised over $250,000. Over $3,000 was raised for a local shelter through a pet store raffle. This past year, I offered a few portraits for Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc. which brought in enough funds to care for one of their foster dogs until it could be placed in a forever home. Now that is fun!
I believe that if you allow your passion to do good, everyone wins.
