Sometimes I see an image and it just grabs my imagination. It needs to be painted. I was logged on to Boykin Spaniel Lovers Facebook page and there was such a photo. Of course you just don't snatch someone's work and go, so I reached out to the owner, and he is a delight. I have permission to paint using his photo as inspiration and I plan to have some prints of the painting made so a portion of the proceeds can go to Boykin Rescue. Fun for me, great exposure, and helping a rescue. What could be better? This is the image. I will post progress so you can see how a painting develops. Thanks Lance for the use of your gorgeous photo.
