Sometimes you need to change it up and challenge yourself.
I wasn't getting the look I wanted working with Acrylic paint so I decided to explore Alkyd Oil paint. The difference between traditional oil paint and alkyd is that the alkyd paint is formulated to dry much more rapidly. The next day, the work is dry which seems to be a perfect fit with the way I like to work. I, thankfully, have a lot of commissions and my clients are excited to to see the portrait. Also, there is sometimes a special occasion the owner wants to commemorate. Having a painting take months to dry does not work! Visit again soon to see some of the new creations in alkyd oil. Thanks.
