Sometimes the details are a real challenge. Look at all those little white hairs!  It all starts with a light pencil sketch to get form and shadow. I have to be careful not to get too aggressive with the color because the paper needs to accept many layers of color and the pencils have a lot of pigment and some binders that make erasing difficult.  |
